Hungry
Point.
Hungry Point gives you some of the most beautiful views in Cronulla. Follow the clifftop walkway, watch the boats on Port Hacking and take in Bundeena, Royal National Park and Gunnamatta Bay.

Built for
these views.
At the southern tip of the Cronulla peninsula.
The NSW Government provided $6.9 million in grant funding to build this walkway and open up these incredible views. We reckon they knew they had something special here. And it doesn’t disappoint.
The boardwalk follows the sandstone cliffs, giving you a different view of the water as you make your way along. It’s well worth coming down the peninsula to see it for yourself.

Stop here.
Take it all in.
Look across Port Hacking to Bundeena and Royal National Park, then westwards up the river. At the end of the walkway, you can look north back into Gunnamatta Bay.
That’s what makes this place special for us. You don’t often get all those views together like this. Take your time, watch the boats passing by and enjoy that big sky.
Choose your
way down.
Check the walk’s access information before choosing your entrance.
If you’re walking from South Cronulla, allow around 45 minutes to get here along the coast, plus time for any stops. It’s an easy walk for kids, but keep that longer approach in mind when planning your outing.
You can also park at Hungry Point Reserve and take the stairs down to the walkway. We found that an easy way to get there, with the stairs to climb again on the way back.
The walkway connects with the Esplanade from Salmon Haul Reserve, and there’s also an entrance from Cowra Place.

Enjoy the view
with us.
Join us at Hungry Point for a look along the clifftop walkway and across Port Hacking. See why we think this is such a special part of Cronulla.
Stay for
the evening light.
Hungry Point is beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Sunset is our favourite: take your time and enjoy the evening light across the water.
You can make a special trip for it, or finish a longer walk here. Either way, we think this little section of the peninsula is worth every second.
